Lucy’s understanding of movement began age 3 with her lifelong passion in ballet and dance. She trained intensively for 15 years prior to her professional performing arts career, eventually discovering Pilates.
On receiving her STOTT Pilates global qualification, Lucy was mentored by UK STOTT Pilates Lead Instructor Trainer Brigitte Wrenn. This led to offers in highly sought ‘ultra premium’ clubs including KX Chelsea, The Harbour Club and Mortimer House. She later added TRX, Xtend Barre and more advanced Pilates qualifications.
Lucy’s teaching style focuses on correct alignment, appealing to clients willing to explore the “why” behind movement and class structure. She believes exercising should be mindful for long term body stability and strength. As such, her clients achieve fitness goals while being exposed to body biomechanics information (explaining the why). This information often leads to faster gains and empowers clients to take ownership of their physical development and personal journey beyond instructed sessions.
Lucy truly practices what she preaches, leading her own Ideal Fit lifestyle. She strives to balance daily exercise, meditation, nutrition and rest. High achievement runs in her family; her mother was a Commonwealth Games competitive swimmer, now a practising Osteopath and Naturopath. Her father was a national champion squash player and Lucy’s partner is an ex professional ballet dancer.
Your Ideal Fit was launched in answer to clients’ increasing desire to work privately and flexibly. Word spread, with clients consistently achieving desired results including celebrities, royalty, sports professionals, pre and post-natal mums, exercise newbies and those returning to exercise after injury and rehabilitation.
With her unique qualifications and experience combination, Lucy's clients benefit from a holistic and diverse pool of knowledge. She prides herself in ensuring no two sessions are the same and private clients have sessions tailored specifically each and every time, providing maximum flexibility.
